Killa Chumpi Earrings

Killa Chumpi Earrings

$85.00

Killa Chumpi earrings hold a little bit of everything. They feature the top half of the chakana, which symbolizes hanan pacha (the world above) and embodies Andean cosmovision, connecting sky and earth, sun and moon, and the three realms: the world above, the physical world, and the spirit world. The design also represents the chumpi, a traditional woven belt that’s an important part of Kichwa Otavalo clothing, reimagined in the shape of a moon (killa). The six drops that hang from it symbolize water, reminding us of the connections that unite us all.
